KOTA BARU: The Gua Musang syariah court let off the man who married an 11-year-old girl with a mere RM1,800 fine.
Judge Mohd Surbaineey Hussain imposed the fine after the 41-year-old accused pleaded guilty to marrying a minor without prior consent from the syariah court and for engaging in polygamy without permission from his spouse.
