MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 5pm (April 12)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 5pm on Sunday (April 12).

In a statement at 2.40pm on Sunday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kedah (Baling and Kulim); Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Bera and Rompin); Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat); Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah and Jempol) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi).

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Kuching; Serian; Samarahan; Sri Aman (Sri Aman); Betong (Saratok and Kabong); Sarikei (Pakan, Julau and Meradong); Sibu, Mukah (Matu, Dalat and Mukah) and Bintulu

In Sabah, the areas affected are the interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort and Tambunan); West coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Tuaran, Ranau and Kota Belud); Tawau; Sandakan (Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat (Kota Marudu).
