JOHOR BARU: The inaugural StarProperty.my Awards 2017: Jewels of Johor kicked off with the largest turnout of property developers for a night of glitz and glamour.

The awards held at Thistle Hotel here on Friday saw 11 developers being feted for their outstanding projects in Johor.

This is the first time the event, which received a total of 25 entries, was held in the state for its property development.

It was graced by Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar who was accompanied by Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin and state executive committee chairmen Datuk Tee Siew Kiong and Datuk Md Jais Sarday.

Star Media Group group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai was also present to honour the developers for their contributions to the state's property scene.

Besides the 11 award categories, two Special Mention Awards were also presented for the Johor Baru City Transformation and Johor Iskandar Waterfront master developers.

Following the success of the annual national StarProperty.my Awards programme, the southern Jewels of Johor awards serve as a showcase featuring prominent developers in the other parts of the country.
