Penampang lad has it in him to become a shaman

Keeping tradition alive: Adam is a young ‘bobohizan’ - aged 26- from Penampang.

KOTA KINABALU: The bobohizan or Kadazandusun shaman is a community elder who performs important rituals especially during the Kaamatan (Harvest Festival). And one young man from Penampang is determined to keep these old ways alive.

Meet Adam Gontusan, the 26-year-old who has been training to become a bobohizan for the past nine years.
