Thunderstorms warning for nine states until 5pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to affect nine states until 5pm on Wednesday (July 15). 

It said in a statement that the adverse weather is forecast to affect Johor; Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Mualim in Perak; and Jeli in Kelantan.

Similar weather conditions are also forecast in Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu and Kemaman in Terengganu; Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub); Selangor (Hulu Selangor); and Negri Sembilan (Seremban, Kuala Pilah and Rembau).

In Sarawak and Sabah, the affected areas are Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat and Mukah), Bintulu, Miri (Subis and Beluru), Limbang (Lawas), the Interior (Sipitang and Tambunan), and the West Coast. - Bernama
