Man nabbed over alleged threat against AKPS personnel


PETALING JAYA: A man has been arrested as investigations into the alleged threat onto a member of the Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) continue.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Lim Jit Huey, in a statement Wednesday (July 15), said that the suspect was arrested on July 14 following a police report on the incident on the same day.

“The police confirm that on July 14 a police report was lodged by an assistant environmental health officer attached to AKPS.

“The same day, the police arrested a 46-year-old local man who has no previous criminal record to assist investigations.

"The case is still under investigation and efforts are ongoing to complete the investigation,” he said.

On Tuesday (July 14), Port Klang AKPS commander Deputy Comm Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said an individual working as a company agent at the port had threatened to shoot the complainant.
