MPs can debate report in next meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of Parliament can raise issues arising from the final report of the PAC on 1MDB in the coming Dewan Rakyat meeting from May 16, said Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.

“The PAC has done its job. Now, it is up to the majlis (MPs) to consider what has been reported. MPs who want to raise issues can do so at the next meeting,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.

The PAC tabled the 1MDB Governance Management Control Report in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

Asked if a special sitting was necessary to debate the report, Pandikar said it was not.

“This is an ongoing matter. Once the PAC has tabled (the report), anyone can issue statements ... it is not against the law.” — Bernama
