Former MRCS sec-gen Ruby Lee dies, aged 82


KUALA LUMPUR: Former Malay-sian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) secretary-general Datuk Paduka Ruby Lee (pic) died at her home in Section 5, Petaling Jaya, yesterday evening. She was 82.

Lee, known for helming the MRCS as its secretary-general for 32 years from 1965 until 1996 had in March received the Henry Dunant Medal – the highest distinction of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
