KAJANG: The bodies of the three men who were killed after they were hit by a commuter train at the Taman Puncak Utama Jade Hill rail tracks have been sent to Hospital Kajang for post-mortem examination.
Kajang deputy OCPD Supt Mohamad Nasir Drahman said that two of the men are Bangladeshi and the third is a Myanmar national.
"We managed to identify the victims based on their personal documents discovered at the scene. The case is classified as a sudden death, and the bodies were sent to Hospital Kajang for a post-mortem," he said in a statement on Monday (March 4).
The initial investigation revealed that the commuter train was travelling from Serdang en route to Kajang when the incident occurred at about 9.30pm on Sunday (March 3), he said.
"An auxiliary policeman was informed by a KTM operation centre that a commuter train had accidentally hit an object along the rail track.
"He, along with his colleagues, went to check and discovered the bodies of the three men at the side of the rail track before reporting it to the Kajang police," he said.
Supt Mohamad Nasir urged those with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Sjn Ariffin at 012-2444608 to assist with the investigation.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the incident occurred after the victims had allegedly trespassed onto the tracks.
"The victims, aged between 30 and 40, died at the scene. Their bodies were not trapped on the tracks. Instead, the impact of the collision threw their bodies at the side of the tracks.
"The bodies were recovered at about 12.15am and have been handed over to the police for further action," he said.
