MORE than 1,000 people are expected at “Madani Kita Tualang Sekah@Kampar” outreach programme being organised in Perak to make government agencies more accessible.
Organised by Community Communications Department (J-Kom), it will be held at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Baru Chenderong, Jalan Tanjung Tualang, Batu Gajah in Perak on Nov 15, from 9am to 4pm.
Perak communications, multimedia and non-governmental organisation committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi said more than 32 government agencies would be there.
He said several Madani Kita programmes had been held involving various federal and state agencies.
“There will be many services available and I see this as a good initiative,” he told StarMetro after a meeting about the event.
Also present was central zone J-Kom director Noorisah Hakim.

Mohd Azlan said the programme mainly targeted those who would otherwise have to take time off from work to access services provided by government agencies such as paying taxes, renewing licences and settling summonses.
“Usually, people need to visit government agencies during working hours, but this programme is held on a non-working day where they only need to come to one place to access the services.
“This will help the public save time and resolve their matters conveniently,” he said.
Noorisah said the programme was not just about what the government provided, but also informing the public about what they needed to know and where they should get assistance.
Among the government agencies participating are the Prime Minister’s Department, MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd, Inland Revenue Board, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry and Health Ministry.
It will include Madani economic advocacy, advice on e-Kasih database helping with planning, executing and monitoring poverty eradication programmes, MyDigital ID registration, a talk on Budget 2027, “Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah” status checks and “Jualan Rahmah” sales of discounted essential goods.
