EQ Kuala Lumpur presents a live entertainment line-up at its rooftop crown jewel Blue @ Sky 51, this May.

Yumi Band kicks off the month with a smooth blend of jazz, pop and timeless classics on May 1 and 2, from 8.45pm to 12.15am.

Meanwhile, an elegant mix of pop and jazz on Friday and Saturday will be delivered from 8.45pm to 12.15am.

At the alfresco area, deejay sets provide the soundtrack from Thursday to Saturday.

Starting at 6pm, DJ Nezha takes the stage with energetic beats, while DJ Madrose keeps the momentum going from 9.30pm to 1am.

Guests can enjoy the music while exploring the “Go Lokal” menu, which features eight signature cocktails that reimagine the country’s fruits, spices and other local ingredients through modern mixology.

This May, The Astor’s Jazz Soiree features a rotating roster of talent every Thursday (except the last Thursday of the month) from 5pm to midnight.

The line-up includes Allan G (May 7), David Soh (May 14) and Samantha Diana (May 21).

On May 7, Bins, head bartender of Cabinet 8 in Johor Baru, brings his avant-garde philosophy to KL for one night only.

Yamada is here for two nights to blend meticulous Japanese craftsmanship with ’90s hip-hop soul for a bespoke experience.

Signature cocktails include Whispering Jade – a blend of gin, calamansi and pandan syrup that offers a tropical fragrance with bright citrus notes, and Jack in the Tropics – a more spirit-forward libation, featuring jackfruit-infused Bacardi, Malibu, lime and pandan syrup.
