Giant hypermarket at Shah Alam Stadium in Section 13 has reopened with a new look.

The relaunch follows refurbishment that includes a revised store layout and new tenants.

Among the changes are a brighter and more modern retail space, improved layout for easier navigation and greater comfort for shoppers.

The new tenant list includes fashion retailer Muaz occupying over 26,000sq ft, an expanded Mr DIY outlet, a refreshed MB Mattress concept store and an upcoming pharmacy.

Selangor youth, sports and entrepreneurship committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi said the hypermarket had long been a familiar destination for the surrounding residents.

“The transformation reflects a renewed commitment to serve the people better, offering not just convenience but a more vibrant and enjoyable shopping experience.”

He said the hypermarket had worked with the state government through initiatives such as “Jom Shopping” to help ease living costs for residents.

The Kota Anggerik assemblyman said that such developments could contribute to the local economy by creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and jobseekers.

Present at the event were Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry Selangor director Muhamad Hanif Asa’ari, GCH Retail (M) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Cheah Yong Hock, deputy CEO Linda Phang, area manager Sivanesan Velaidam and Giant Stadium Shah Alam store manager Arumugam Nadarajan.
