Selangor calls for project ideas on OKU, offers grants

SHAH ALAM: Those with ideas to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities (PwD) are invited to apply for a project grant worth up to RM30,000 from the Selangor government.

Announcing the initiative at the state secretariat building in Shah Alam today (Nov 19), Selangor women empowerment and welfare committee chairman Anfaal Saari said it was a platform for stakeholders to highlight ideas beneficial for PwD.

“Selangor is committed towards drafting inclusive and progressive policies.

“Those with relevant ideas are invited to submit paperwork on their proposed projects,” she said.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with committees under the Selangor Disabled Action Council (MTOS).

Applications are open to universities, research institutes, non-profits, consultants and social enterprises.

Among areas of improvement accepted are job matters and employment policies, as well as physical infrastructure designs and public services specifically designed for the disabled.

Anyone interested should submit proposals to mtoselangor@gmail.com before Jan 10, 2026.
