Tea time with luxurious local upgrade

W Kuala Lumpur’s Living Room offers afternoon tea with a local twist.

W Kuala Lumpur is brewing up some serious buzz with its latest twist on afternoon tea called “Let’s Ngopi, Darling!”.

Instead of same old scones and Earl Grey, W Kuala Lumpur’s Living Room is turning the everyday ritual into an epic afternoon experience.

Kick things off with the Signature Lokal Coffee (guests get two cups).

Choose from Kopi Cacao (a bold coffee-chocolate hybrid), Nyonya Brew (a rich kopi with a gula Melaka twist), or the spicy, soothing Jungle Spice Chai.

Savoury stars lead the charge in the afternoon tea set, including the decadent Pulut Kuning with Rendang Daging Wagyu, featuring slow-cooked beef with all the richness of tradition and a luxe upgrade.

The crisp and colourful Nyonya Top Hat brings Peranakan flair, while the Mini Croissant Kerabu Tuna Sandwich and Mushroom Kapitan Quiche add modern charm with bold, zesty profiles.

Top it off with freshly baked scones, served with luscious clotted cream and Pumpkin Kaya Jam.

Whether it is the Gula Melaka Scone or Lokal Fig Scone, each bite is comfort with a classy edge.

On weekdays, Living Room is offering a curated list with a la carte options – perfect for laidback afternoons, solo indulgences or casual catch-ups.

On weekends and public holidays, it takes things up a notch with flavour-packed theatre of treats.

Picture roaming dessert trolleys and unlimited pass-around bites such as Onde Onde Layer Cake, Rose Milk Panna Cotta, Kelapa Almond Pie, and Harum Manis Mango Truffle.

“Let’s Ngopi, Darling!” afternoon tea is served at Living Room, located at the hotel’s Level 8, from 2pm to 5pm daily.

It is priced at RM88nett per person on weekdays and RM128nett per person on weekends and public holidays.
