MBS Sentul old boys celebrate friendship at reunion

Some of the Methodist Boys School, Sentul Class of 1968 students during the reunion dinner held in Kepong.

A GROUP of former students of Methodist Boys School Sentul in Kuala Lumpur rekindled their friendship and memories at a recent gathering.

The former students who finished their Form Five in 1968 held a reunion on Malaysia Day.

The reunion was made extra special with the attendance of former students who are abroad.

The students recalled memories living with their families as squatters at the Sentul Pasar railway quarters on Jalan Ipoh or in mining shanty villages since 1958 before they went their separate ways after finishing school.

Now in their 70s, the former students spoke about their younger days with much passion and humour.

They could still remember naughty and funny moments from decades ago including watching cowboy and spy matinee movies at Mido Theatre together.

At the reunion held at a restaurant in Kepong, they also recalled the tough competition in the 1960s to get into Form 6 followed by university admissions.

Although a few experienced difficulty and problems coming due to their health, they were in good spirits.
