PENGURUSAN Air Selangor Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s largest water utility, has been picked with another water services provider to represent the nation at the “Future of Earth and Biodiversity Week” at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan from Sept 8 to 12.

Air Selangor chief executive officer Adam Saffian Ghazali (pic) said, “We are excited to be at Expo 2025 Osaka, a platform where nations and industries across the globe come together to exchange ideas and solutions for a better future.

“Our mission is to position Malaysia as a dynamic growth market for the water sector while reinforcing Air Selangor’s role as a forward-looking utility that connects local progress with global opportunities.

“Air Selangor will continue to innovate and implement best practices to ensure reliable and sustainable water services for the 9.62 million consumers in Malaysia’s key urban and economic centres of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya,” he added.

Recognised as a member of the Leading Utilities of the World network, Air Selangor’s participation at the event reaffirms its status as a regional leader with a global outlook, bringing Malaysia’s voice to the forefront of international dialogue on water resilience, smart utility solutions and environmental stewardship.

During the expo, Air Selangor’s head of non-revenue water (NRW) Kelvin Siew and head of risk management Thavendran Loganathan will take part in a business matching session at the Malaysia Pavilion on Sept 11.

It will be a chance to showcase the country’s water industry transformation and highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and future-ready utility management.
