The joyful chatter of old friends filled the air as alumni from SMK Methodist (ACS) Klang, Selangor, gathered for a night of shared memories.

“Our gathering was an opportunity for 580 alumnus, teachers and guests to reconnect,” said Klang ACS Old Boys Association (OBA) president Datuk Lim Kim Long.

He described the 62nd annual reunion dinner at a restaurant in Taman Meru as a beautiful occasion.

“Although our careers have scattered us far and wide, we make an effort to meet up,” Lim shared.

“It was a chance to share updates and reminisce about school days.”

Moments were captured on phone cameras and everyone sang the school song, ACS Forever, with gusto.

Guests were also enthralled by a slideshow of old photos as they enjoyed their eight-course Chinese dinner.

A minute’s silence was observed for school principal Datuk AR Peter (1979-1993) who passed away on Aug 23.

Association deputy president Dr Saravanan Ramachandran said the reunion of old schoolmates felt good.

“It shows the strong bonds established on the sports field and in the classroom.”

OBA honorary secretary S. Selvanathan said there was something magical about reunions.

V. Sathiaseelan, Class of ’93, said they were proud former students and grateful to have had dedicated teachers.

He said most of them stayed in touch in a WhatsApp group.
