KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will fully cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in an ongoing investigation into one of its top officials.
Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif said the City Hall was preparing the necessary documents to be passed to the graft agency.
“I am awaiting further details. We will work with MACC on the matter,” she said when met at DBKL headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut on Wednesday (Aug 27).
On Monday (Aug 25), it was reported that a top DBKL official was arrested in relation to the procurement process in an information technology project.
The senior officer was reportedly arrested in Putrajaya when he came to give his statement to the MACC.
Two members of the public, believed to be contractors of the project, were also arrested and a remand was currently in effect.
However, Maimunah declined to disclose details of the project in question when asked, citing the ongoing MACC probe.
