EX-DIRECTOR of Hospital Slim River Dr S. Sivanandarajah (pic), who has now joined the private sector, is highly commended for his good leadership.

Social activist Yee Jee Kwong said Dr Sivanandarajah was always ready to listen to proposals for the hospital’s improvement.

“He upgraded and transformed the hospital into a fully equipped healthcare provider with the latest equipment, benefitting the local community.

“He’s always looking to provide better healthcare while looking into the staff’s welfare,” he said.

“I’ll always remember his advice, which is to stay calm and work towards a target to achieve it,” Yee added.

After serving the hospital in Perak for five years, Dr Sivanandarajah has gone into private practice in Kuala Lumpur.

He had previously served as deputy director at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh.

After 22 years’ experience in the public sector, he has now taken up the position of chief operating officer at a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

Hospital Slim River secretary Nur Ain Syamiera Samsudin said Dr Sivanandarajah was a good leader who was receptive to ideas.

“He will always look for solutions that prioritise and benefit the people as well as hospital staff,” she said.

The hospital’s orthopaedic department head Dr Yap Chuan Sang said Dr Sivanandarajah was always reachable.

“He has his own special way of guiding and advising all the department heads to move as a team in the spirit of togetherness,” he said. — By IVAN LOH
