Local comedians to bring out the laughs in Johor Baru tonight

COMEDY lovers are in for a night of laughter as top Malaysian comedians Papi Zak and Kavin Jay perform in Johor Baru tonight.

The second edition of the comedy series promises sharper jokes and louder laughs, said David Bareng, chief executive of show organiser Coaction Events.

He said the show would place Johor as a key player in Malaysia’s live entertainment landscape.

“Johor Baru deserves world-class comedy.

“This is not just a show. It is a full experience for anyone who loves smart, bold humour,” he said.

Bareng highlighted Papi Zak as a 16-year veteran in the comedy scene, known for his booming stage presence, razor-sharp wit, and food-centric TV hit The Halal Foodie.

“Sharing the stage is Netflix’s Kavin Jay whose deadpan humour and brutally honest takes have earned him fans from Melbourne to Edinburgh,” he added.

“Johor Baru Laugh Lounge” will be staged at Persada Johor International Convention Centre.

Showtime is at 8.30pm.

Beyond the belly laughs, ticket holders can enjoy added perks to turn the night out into a weekend getaway.

These include 15% off lunch at Selasih Cafe in Persada Johor and a deluxe stay at Fives Hotel Meldrum, Johor Baru, for just RM170nett (normal rate RM250).
