THE Ipoh City Council (MBI) must urge the contracted waste management and disposal company, to repair its rubbish lorries or acquire new ones as soon as possible.

Every time rubbish lorries drive through the city to collect waste, liquid trails left behind result in a stench on the roads.

This problem has been ongoing for several years, indicating that the leaking rubbish trucks used are too old and are in need of repair or replacement.

It has a negative impact on the environment, as well as the health and comfort of the public.

These incidents also present a negative, unsavoury image of Ipoh to tourists.

This should be a big concern to the city council, given how crucial tourism is to the state’s revenue and economy.

If company is unable to repair or replace its rubbish trucks, the government should help the company so that this problem can be quickly resolved.
