Tropicana Corporation Bhd is making steady progress on its 241ha Tropicana WindCity masterplan in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
The development comprises three major townships, namely Tropicana Grandhill, Tropicana Paradise and Tropicana Avalon.
Breaking ground is its latest integrated project in Tropicana Avalon – Breeze Hill Shoppes and Service Apartments.
The 4.22ha freehold development in Gohtong Jaya has a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.4bil and integrates residential and commercial components, designed for investors, business owners, holidaymakers and lifestyle seekers.
The groundbreaking ceremony was launched by main contractor China State Construction Engineering Malaysia (CSCEM).

Tropicana group chief executive officer Datuk Mark Rozario said the project was built on Tropicana’s expansion in Genting Highlands.
“Since 2020, Tropicana has made its mark in Genting Highlands and we continue to strengthen our presence by filling market gaps with the right product offerings.
“Building upon this blueprint, we are pleased to unveil Breeze Hill Shoppes and Service Apartments, combining luxury, modernity and connectivity.”
The project, he said, was poised to be the next vibrant commercial and residential hub in Genting Highlands in keeping with Tropicana’s mantra of redefining the art of living.
CSCEM deputy general manager Sun Jian Wen said this was the company’s second collaboration with Tropicana.
“Our first was in Johor, where we are the appointed contractor for Skypark Kepler branded residences at Lido Waterfront Boulevard.
“Today, we celebrate another milestone with the groundbreaking of Breeze Hill in Genting Highlands.
“With our combined expertise in property and construction, we look forward to reshaping the Malaysian landscape with modern yet sustainable developments,” he said.
Present at the event were Tropicana chief financial officer Lim Lai Seng, chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen, deputy chief executive officer Khoo Thian Shyang, project managing director Loke Wei Feng, CSCEM division general manager Xu Xiao Bing and Bentong district officer Datuk Mohammad Shahid Ismail.
Designed as a GreenRE-certified building, Breeze Hill integrates nature with urban living.
The residential component consists of two 27-storey towers with 1,722 fully furnished units, available in studio to three-bedroom layouts.
Each unit comes with designer fittings and furniture, and the column-free layout maximises space.
Residents will also enjoy an unobstructed view of Resorts World Genting.
A 26,000sq ft podium houses over 40 family-friendly facilities.
The commercial component offers 90 exclusive units across two levels, with built-up sizes ranging from 959sq ft to 3,470sq ft and prices starting from RM1.1mil.
One of the few stratified retail shops in Gohtong Jaya, the shops feature an al fresco atmosphere, with most units designed to receive maximum natural lighting and ventilation.
Shops have double frontage for greater business exposure, with a 9m shop frontage, while ground-floor units feature high ceilings of up to 8m, allowing for double-volume conversion.
The development includes dedicated drop-off areas and parking for both residents and visitors, ensuring convenience and accessibility.
