A TOTAL of 50 roads in the Segambut constituency were identified for resurfacing works this year, of which 44 have been completed.

“Upgrading works for the remaining six roads started today (Dec 4) and are expected to be completed in a week,” said Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh.

“Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has appointed four contractors for road upgrading works in Segambut.

“Each contractor was given a RM2mil budget spanning two years, namely for this year and next year.”

She said this brought DBKL’s allocation for road resurfacing works in both residential and commercial areas in Segambut to RM8mil over two years.

Yeoh was speaking in a press conference at the Taman Bamboo morning market in Kuala Lumpur, one of the locations that had its roads resurfaced.

Roads have been upgraded in Taman Bukit Maluri, Bandar Menjalara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Taman Segambut Aman, Taman Desa Segambut, Taman Sri Segambut, Taman Bamboo and Taman Sri Kuching, among others.

Road upgrades are ongoing at Jalan Udang Batu, Jalan Udang Galah 6, Jalan Udang Galah 5, Jalan Udang Galah 4, Jalan Udang Galah and part of Jalan Kuching.
