Budget 2025: RM10mil for geotechnical study of main roads in KL's Golden Triangle

KUALA LUMPUR: RM10mil has been allocated for a geotechnical study of soil structures on the main roads in Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said the allocation followed frequent incidents of land subsidence and landslides, including the fatal incident of a 48-year-old woman from India who fell into a sinkhole in Jalan Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur in August.

“To prevent such incidents from recurring, several projects will be implemented, including a geotechnical study of soil structures on the main roads in Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle,” he said.
