Port Klang road users to be relieved as road works expected October completion


PORT Klang folk can look forward to a smoother ride, as mass repairs to its roads are expected to be completed by October.

The repairs will cover a total of 35km, including Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Lebuhraya Pulau Indah, Northport heading towards Port Klang, and several roads leading to industrial parks around Klang and Port Klang.

Repairs include road resurfacing and the repair of street lights, traffic lights, and bridge structures.

The repairs are being undertaken by the Port Klang Authority (PKA) under the Transport Ministry.

It was announced that the government would provide RM25mil, matched by another RM25mil from PKA, to carry out and improve road repairs within the Port Klang area.

Eight areas are currently undergoing repairs, including Jalan Persiaran Raja Muda Musa (Pelabuhan Klang, Berkeley), Jalan Pintasan Selat Klang Utara (FT20), Jalan Pelabuhan Klang Utara, Jalan Pelabuhan Utara - Barat, Lebuhraya Pulau Indah, Jalan Lingkaran Pulau Indah, Jalan Industri Pandamaran, Batu Unjur and Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad.

In their statement on Facebook, PKA announced that the project began on April 29 and will see completion in October.

The repairs are in collaboration with the Transport Ministry, Works Ministry, Finance Ministry, the Public Works Department, and PKA.
