Assemblyman gifts over RM36K as incentive to continue being successful

A TOTAL 152 high achievers in 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) from the Kota Kemuning constituency received RM36,550 worth of educational prizes.

The Generasi Cemerlang SPM 2025 DUN Kota Kemuning ceremony was held at Shah Alam City Council’s (MBSA) Aster Hall.

Kota Kemuning assemblyman Preakas Sampunathan said education was the best investment for the country’s future and human capital development.

“The development of an area is not measured solely by buildings, roads or physical infrastructure.

“The true measure of society’s success is the quality of its human capital.

“These young people are our future leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs.

“Therefore, their achievements deserve to be celebrated,” he said.

At the event, four students with 11As received RM350 each while 23 students with 10As were awarded RM300 each.

At the same time, 65 students with 9As received RM250 each while 60 students with 8As were awarded RM200 each.

Preakas said the ceremony was being held for the third time in his constituency, reflecting his ongoing commitment to recognising and celebrating academic achievements.

“Aside from the incentives for excellent students, we have also organised SPM seminars, tuition programmes and various educational initiatives to help students achieve their potential.”

He also referenced ongoing efforts to support schools in the area including allocations channelled to SMK Kota Kemuning 2 in support of the school’s aim to create a more conducive learning environment.
