The encroachment issue was highlighted by StarMetro in a front-page report on Monday (March 11) titled "Food court in Gombak cave stirs up concerns."

Since the report's publication, many parties had expressed concern over the encroachment as it could jeopardise Selangor’s bid for it to be recognised as a Unesco Global Geopark.
