IN a concerted effort to support and bring relief to individuals and families affected by monsoon floods, Nestle Malaysia in collaboration with Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) are distributing 4,000 essential food aid boxes in a number of regions.

Nestle Cares and MRCS volunteers helped to assemble and distribute the pre-packed boxes to victims, including those seeking shelter at temporary evacuation centres (PPS).

The humanitarian initiative provided much-needed relief to families affected by the floods in the East Coast, including Pasir Mas and Rantau Panjang in Kelantan as well as Dungun in Terengganu.

Beyond essential food supplies, Milo and Maggi trucks were stationed at the Mukim Padang Licin Mosque PPS, offering food and drinks to the community.

Relief efforts have also been extended to areas affected by the recent landslides in Cameron Highlands and other locations in Pahang, Perak, Selangor and Johor.

Nestle Malaysia’s commitment to humanitarian causes was further supported by its recent donation of RM400,000 to MRCS for the purchase of new ambulances ahead of the monsoon season.

This brought Nestle Malaysia’s contributions to MRCS to RM3.5mil in 2023.
