FOOTBALL fever filled an eatery in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, when a live screening of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final brought together about 500 fans.

NZ Curry House, which hosted the event, was packed before the scheduled 2am start, prompting organisers Suria FM and Kimball to begin the programme at 1.30am.

The viewing party gave supporters a lively setting to watch the Spain-Argentina match, combining live football with games, food, refreshments and giveaways.

Suria FM presenters Kai Hassan and Chiwan engaged the crowd with football-themed activities and quizzes testing fans’ knowledge of the game, Suria FM and Kimball before the match began.

Former national footballer Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, better known as Mat Yo, and content creator Papa Ayie also joined fans, who took part in games to win limited-edition football jerseys as well as Kimball merchandise.

Kimball added to the late-night atmosphere by serving 300 complimentary packs of its special-edition pasta goreng to supporters.

The giveaway comprised 150 packs of Kimball Spaghetti Goreng Tomato Mamak and 150 packs of Kimball Spaghetti Keju-nara Ala Briyani, that added familiar Malaysian flavours to pasta.

Complimentary teh tarik and iced lemon tea were also served as fans waited for the match and followed the action into the early hours.
