WHETHER you operate a restaurant, cafe, food factory, retail chain or import business, the Malaysian International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026, taking place from July 15 to 17, offers the ideal platform to connect with industry partners, explore the latest innovations and unlock fresh opportunities for business growth.
The trade fair, to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will bring together more than 520 exhibitors from over 85 countries.
Complemented by two co-located events – Malaysia Cafe Expo (MCE) and MyFoodTech Exhibition (MYFT) – it offers trade visitors access to the entire exhibition with a single free trade pass.
Reflecting its industry-wide appeal, the event will span more than 15,000 sq m of exhibition space and is expected to welcome over 13,000 trade visitors from across the food and beverage value chain.
Beyond an exhibition, MIFB 2026 serves as a one-stop marketplace where businesses can source trusted suppliers, discover emerging technologies and forge partnerships that support long-term growth..
From ingredients and beverages to processing equipment, packaging solutions and cafe supplies, the event showcases offerings that support nearly every aspect of an F&B business, covering almost everything it buys, uses or sells.
One pass, three shows
MIFB 2026 runs alongside two co-located events: MCE and MYFT – with a single complimentary trade registration granting access to all three.
Together, the events cover the full F&B value chain. MIFB showcases food and beverage products, halal-certified offerings as well as fresh, chilled and frozen seafood.
MCE focuses on cafe and bakery solutions, specialty coffee and equipment while MYFT highlights on food processing, packaging and automation technologies.
This breadth creates practical value for businesses. A cafe owner can compare coffee roasters and point-of-sale systems while exploring packaging solutions at the same venue.
A food manufacturer can connect with ingredient suppliers in the morning and meet processing line vendors later in the day.
With dedicated spaces for fast-growing categories such as Ready-to-Eat, Ready-to-Cook and Ready-to-Drink products, the events also reflect evolving consumer preferences and market trends shaping Malaysia’s food industry.
For importers and distributors, international pavilions featuring exhibitors from countries such as China, India, Poland and South Korea offer opportunities to discover new products and build global connections – all without leaving Kuala Lumpur.
Deputy Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin will open the event as the guest of honour, addressing global supply chain challenges and industry future-readiness in line with the 2026 theme, “Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave”.
Expert perspectives
The exhibition floor is only part of the MIFB 2026 experience.
This year’s programme brings together world champions, a celebrity chef and founders behind some of Malaysia’s fastest-growing brands to share valuable insights, practical knowledge and industry perspectives.
These sessions are designed to help F&B professionals gain fresh ideas, explore emerging trends and discover strategies that can support business growth.
The highlighted sessions are open for registration, with limited availability.

Practical insights
The MIFB Knowledge Hub brings together industry experts, entrepreneurs and thought leaders across three days of free sessions designed to address the real challenges faced by F&B businesses.
Each session focuses on practical questions that businesses encounter – from adapting to changing consumer demands and improving operations to exploring new opportunities for growth – offering practical takeaways from those who have successfully navigated the industry.
Day One: Smarter operations
The first day explores a key question for every F&B business: How can operations be made more efficient? Sessions highlight how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools can help Malaysian F&B operators reduce waste, minimise downtime and improve productivity – without the need to build a new factory.
Tetra Pak will showcase how its Factory OS transforms machine data into actionable insights to reduce breakdowns and waste, while StoreHub founder Fong Wai Hong will share how businesses can unlock better decisions by making use of the data they already collect.
Day Two: Founder strategies
Day two puts the spotlight on entrepreneurs and brand builders. Hagen Chen of Toast Maker will share his 60-day playbook for building and exporting a brand, while Subway franchisee Winnie Ng and Dao Desserts’ Carmen Lau will discuss the opportunities and challenges of franchising, licensing and scaling independently.
The day’s signature session, the Founder's Table, will see founders pitch live and receive candid feedback from experienced operators and investor Bikesh Lakhmichand of 1337 Ventures. Supergulp’s Julian Koh and PurelyB’s Raja Jesrina Arshad will close the day with a discussion on whether wellness can evolve into a sustainable category beyond a marketing trend.
Day Three: Export opportunities
The final day focuses on global expansion through the Export Masterclass. Prof Dr Jeffrey Yap of the World Halalpreneur Council will explore the opportunities within the US$7 trillion halal market, a segment that many Malaysian founders have yet to fully tap into.
The founders behind Way Sauce and WonderBrew will share how to transform a signature recipe into a shelf-ready product for international markets. Closing the programme, “food archaeologist” Chef Alan Coxon – with four decades of experience and more than 1,250 television programmes to his name – will share lessons on building brands that stand the test of time.

Champion makers
Within Malaysia Cafe Expo, the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in collaboration with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association, serves as the premier platform to discover and crown the country’s top baristas.
The competition has become a launchpad for Malaysian coffee talents on the global stage. Nas Jaafar, the 2025 Malaysian Brewers Cup champion, went on to make history as Malaysia’s first-ever World Brewers Cup Champion in 2026.
Meanwhile, Jacky Chang, the 2025 Malaysian Latte Art champion, achieved Malaysia’s highest-ever placing at the World Latte Art Championship by securing first runner-up in 2026.
Both champions will return to the stage on July 17 at 4.30pm at Malaysia Cafe Expo, where this year’s national champions will be crowned.
Strategic partnerships
MIFB Connect facilitates scheduled, invitation-only meetings between exhibitors and pre-qualified buyers, helping businesses maximise their time at the show by connecting them with the right partners.
Through the MIFB Buyer Programme, exhibitors can engage with qualified buyers from the retail, hospitality, foodservice and distribution sectors, creating meaningful conversations that can drive future growth.
Meanwhile, MIFB Launchpad provides local F&B start-ups with a platform to pitch their ideas to industry leaders and investors, while giving buyers an early glimpse of emerging brands shaping the future of the industry.
Immersive experiences
At MIFB ChefTable, professional chefs bring exhibitor products to life through live culinary demonstrations, giving visitors a first-hand look at how ingredients can be transformed into finished creations. This allows buyers to evaluate product quality, applications and potential menu opportunities before making informed purchasing decisions.
MIFB Talk features short, practical stage sessions that deliver quick takeaways for visitors between meetings.
Meanwhile, MIFB HalalHub, in collaboration with the Halal Development Corporation, provides guidance on halal certification, compliance and traceability – offering valuable support at no cost for businesses looking to expand their halal export opportunities.
