THE upcoming Bumiputra Property Exhibition (BPEX) will give those seeking to become first-time homeowners a chance to explore affordable housing options and take advantage of government incentives.
The exhibition is taking place on Nov 4 and 5 at Midvalley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur from 11am to 9pm.
Marvel Management Communication (MMC) managing director Datuk Nor’ashikin Taib said an allocation of RM20mil had been earmarked to help potential buyers at BPEX, thanks to its strategic partnership with Koperasi Bandaraya Maju Bhd.
“This special fund is specifically aimed at individuals burdened by credit card debt.
“Mismanaged credit card expenditure is a leading cause of banks rejecting housing loan applications,” she said, adding that Tabung BPEX Bandaraya could help potential buyers.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of properties, with prices starting from RM250,000.
“More than 50 developers will feature 50 projects within the Klang Valley,” said Nor’ashikin.
“From the extensive selection, attendees can choose a home that suits their preference and budget.
“There are more than 3,000 housing units available in areas such as Sungai Besi, Setapak, Wangsa Maju and Seri Petaling,” she said during a press conference.
She also said BPEX was a good opportunity too for gig workers and individuals who did not possess payslips and bank statements.
“The lack of financial paperwork can be another barrier to securing home loans.
“These individuals can apply for the housing credit guarantee scheme by Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan (SJKP).
“They can submit their loan applications, which will be guaranteed by SJKP, even if they don’t have the financial documents that are traditionally required.”
The property exhibition will be launched by Selangor housing and culture committee chairman Borhan Aman Shah.
Also present during the press conference were Koperasi Bandaraya Maju Bhd executive chairman Datuk Yapri Kamaruzaman Kushairi and MMC marketing director Mohd Azmi Mohd Aris.
