MBSJ raids three illegal massage parlours

SUBANG Jaya City Council (MBSJ) raided three illegal massage parlours during a simultaneous enforcement operation.

The raids were carried out at the premises located in different areas under MBSJ’s purview.

It was carried out earlier this month at the massage parlours located in Uptown The Mines in Seri Kembangan, Jalan Kenari 2 in Bandar Puchong Jaya and Jalan USJ 9/5S in UEP Subang Jaya.

“The operation was done by officers from MBSJ’s Enforcement Department and Licensing Department,” MBSJ’s Corporate and Strategic Management Department said in a statement.

“The raid and related investigations revealed that the massage parlours were operating without licences. The three premises were immediately sealed and their equipment seized.”

On legal action taken by MBSJ, the statement said that the council issued between one and five closure notices per premises for offences committed under the MBSJ Beauty and Healthcare Centre 2013 Bylaw as well as Entertainment and Selangor Places of Entertainment 1995 Enactment (Amendment 2001).

“MBSJ will continue carrying out periodic monitoring and will not compromise against any party or individual found to be in violation of the rules and regulations set by the council,” it said.
