Spectators looked to the skies as BASE jumpers hurled themselves into the air from the Kuala Lumpur Tower.
The annual Kuala Lumpur Tower International BASE Jump attracted more than 200 participants from 37 countries.
BASE is an acronym for building, antenna, span (bridges) and earth (mountains, cliffs), the four different types of platforms jumpers leap from.
This year also marked a meaningful milestone as 55 BASE jumpers took to the sky for a Malaysia Book of Records attempt for the “Most Participants in a Consecutive Tower BASE Jump” record.
The recognition is special because the Kuala Lumpur Tower turns 30 this year.

The BASE jumpers perched high above the tower stepped off the structure and free-fall through the air.
The colourful parachutes swayed in the wind and formed a vibrant, moving canopy against the backdrop of the city skyline.
Jumpers manoeuvred through the air with precision before touching down smoothly, quickly collapsing their chutes as onlookers rushed in to capture on their cellphone cameras the final moments of the thrilling stunt.
