Tabla groups shatter record with 32-hour performance

THE Penang Tabla Society made its way into the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR) for its bhajan (devotional songs) performance and playing the tabla non-stop for 32 hours.

The “Festival of Taal 2023” saw 21 groups, each consisting of 10 to 15 people, achieving the record performance which started at 10am on Feb 18 and ended at 6pm the next day.
