‘Hoppening’ nook for great buffet

Hop into the new lunar year in sassy style with the “Hoppening” Lunar New Year buffet offered by Nook at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

A highlight of the buffet is the Chinese Roast Chicken accompanied with crispy mantou.

Guests can customise their yee sang at the yee sang counter, then dig into dishes such as Wok-baked Black Pepper Crab, Gold-and-Silver Garlic Steamed Fish with Grated Yam, Wok-fried Prawns in Portuguese Cheese, Wok-fried Pineapple and Capsicum Beef, Claypot Chicken Rice, Double-boiled Sea Coconut and Ginseng Broth, and Korean Oysters stewed with tofu.

There are also pasta and pizza live stations.

International options include chicken and beef satay, Ayam Gulai Lemak Chilli and Seared Seabass with Tomato Confit and Dill Veloute.

For desserts, look out for the delicate mu dan su – oven-baked pastry that is shaped like a flower and filled with lotus paste.

There is also Sweet Potato Nian Gao plus adorable rabbit-shaped Golden Rabbit Goji Pudding with Osmanthus Syrup.

Nook’s “Hoppening” Lunar New Year buffet is RM148 nett per person. The buffet is available every Friday and Saturday until Feb 4.

Meanwhile, Nook’s yee sang menu offers Vegan Blossom Yee Sang with delicate banana flower blossom, ice plant, carrot and pickled vegetables.

Other options are Shimmering Jellyfish Yee Sang, Bountiful Salmon Yee Sang and Double Happiness Abalone and Salmon Yee Sang.

The yee sang is available for dine-in and takeaway, with prices starting from RM88 nett for regular size and from RM128 nett for large. Bookings must be made 48 hours in advance.

There are also two Rocking Roast Takeaway Sets featuring Cantonese Roast Duck with Plum Sauce (RM288) or Chinese Roast Chicken with Crispy Mantou and Mongolian Sauce (RM248) as the main course.

They come with three side dishes including rice, vegetables and dessert.

Each set feeds up to five people.

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Other a la carte items available for takeaway and delivery include Seafood Fried Rice (RM108), War Shu Gai Almond Boneless Chicken (RM138), Cantonese Roast Duck (RM238) and Golden Pumpkin Taro Pot (RM88).
