RM1,000 fine for parking illegally on playground

Motorists who parked their cars on a recreational space in Taman Eng Ann, Klang, on Sunday were there for their children taking part in a competition at a hall nearby.

KLANG Municipal Council (MPK) says motorists penalised for parking their cars in a recreational area in Taman Eng Ann, Klang in Selangor cannot plead ignorance and will have to settle the fines issued.

MPK Corporate Communications Department director Norfiza Mahfiz said the recreation space sandwiched between Jalan Serindit 9 and Jalan Serindit 10, was not designated as a parking area.
