THERE will be a road closure and traffic diversion along the Sprint Highway (Damansara Link) heading to Bangsar from Petaling Jaya to facilitate the reconstruction of a flyover.

The existing flyover along Jalan Johar will be demolished and rebuilt starting Saturday (Oct 29).

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said in a statement that the route from Petaling Jaya towards Bangsar via Jalan Maarof will also be fully closed effective Saturday.

Traffic will be redirected where motorists heading to Bangsar from Petaling Jaya can make a detour via Jalan Beringin-Jalan Damanlela-Jalan Damansuria.

In anticipation of the escalated traffic congestion especially during peak hours, road users from Petaling Jaya to Kuala Lumpur are advised to use the four alternative routes provided (see graphic).

They are the Penchala Link, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim and Kerinchi Link as well as Jalan Universiti.
