MPKluang assures folk public market will not be relocated

KLUANG Municipal Council (MPKluang) has reassured traders and residents that there are no plans to relocate Pasar Awam Kluang.

Councillor Joan Ng said the council would not start a project or maintenance works on the market without prior notice as this was not a professional way of operating.

“Even if there were plans for relocation, MPKluang will go through the proper channels and procedures to notify those concerned before carrying out any kind of work.

“Traders and residents need not worry at all. I hope this clarifies the matter and puts speculations to rest,” she said.

Ng was referring to talks about the market’s alleged relocation which raised concerns among the people.

“The council has also dropped several councillors and appointed a new line-up recently.

“I advise the public to get accurate information from the council directly rather than listening to rumour mongers who aim to create general uneasiness,” she added.
