KUANTAN: Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi (IIT BHU) for a period of seven years to collaborate in academic exchange and research for technological advancements and social welfare.

The MoU was signed by UMP vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Seri Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim and IIT BHU director Prof Pramod Kumar Jain in Uttar Pradesh, India recently.
