VISITORS to the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair September 2018 can look forward to a more interactive time at the exhibition as Top Media Resources is back for the second time as its Mobile Apps Partner.
Following the success of the augmented reality (AR) introduced at MATTA Fair last March, MATTA honorary secretary-general Nigel Wong said he was happy to feature the technology at the upcoming fair again.
“We have seen a lot of interest from visitors at the last fair in March, and it is once again going to be a fun activity with more AR features this time round.
“Having AR features is another example of our commitment to remain at the forefront of technology,” said Wong at a press conference at Wisma MATTA, Kuala Lumpur.
For the event in September, MATTA will distribute 50,000 free copies of the eMATTA guidebook to visitors, featuring interactive AR effects and computer-generated (CG) characters when scanned using the mobile app.
“We are delighted to collaborate with MATTA to create the AR experience for all visitors attending the fair,” said Top Media Resources managing director Amelia Au.
“I believe we are also the first travel publication in Malaysia to produce computer-generated imagery (CGI) AR at this scale and quality.”
Another highlight which visitors can look forward to is the interactive AR LED panel situated next to the main ticketing counter where they can take photos with the virtual safari and fantasy theme and share them online.
In addition, visitors can also win attractive prizes by participating in the MATTA Fair Find and Grab game.
There will be banners scattered around the exhibition hall and the top scorer stand a chance to win prizes up to RM1,000 while RM100 cash prizes await the next 20 high scorers.
Also present at the event was eIntro Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd executive director David Soh who demonstrated the function of the app to the media.
To further encourage downloads of the eMATTA app, Top Media Resources will be providing free Wi-Fi hotspot as well as a total of RM1,000 cash redemption.
MATTA chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng said there were various other attractive prizes to be won at the three-day event.
“We have 23 packages to various destinations with the top prize being a business class ticket to London, courtesy of Malaysia Airlines.”
To be eligible, visitors only need to spend a minimum of RM300 on international travel packages to qualify for an entry for the international category.
Meanwhile, every RM100 spent on domestic travel entitles customers to an entry for the domestic category which has RM5,000 worth of travel vouchers up for grabs.
MATTA is partnering with Grab Malaysia to offer discounted RM5 off per ride with payment using GrabPay.
There will also be a blood donation drive conducted by the National Blood Bank as part of MATTA’s corporate social responsibility.
Every RM1 spent on the admission ticket will be donated to Tabung Harapan Malaysia.
MATTA is happening from Sept 7 to 9 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), from 10am to 9pm.
The eMATTA mobile app is now available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
