KLCC Group of Companies hosted a lively Hari Raya gathering for its business partners and stakeholders at Suasana PJH in Precinct 2, Putrajaya.
Organised by Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, the event attracted thousands of guests.
The highlight of the event was a durian feast which offered various types of the fruit under festive tents.
Putrajaya Holdings Corporate Communications head Mohd Hafiz Abdul Ghani said guests had expected the durian feast as it was the highlight of the annual event.
“We serve a variety of durian such as Musang King, Udang Merah, IOI and durian kampung.
“Our guests love them very much,” he said.
United Nations UN Development Programme (UNDP) maintenance supervisor Fahmi Abdul Mutalib said he was happy to be able to enjoy various types of durian at the Raya gathering.
“This is also the right occasion to mingle with other tenants,” he said.
UNDP University administration assistant Nur Nadeelah Razak, said she was very excited to have durians with her group and meet new friends.
Credit rating agency RAM Ratings Business Development director Firhan Yasser commended the good spread of food in a festive environment.
“It is nice to have an outdoor Raya gathering,” he said.
The guests were treated to a wide range of desserts including cakes, pudding, dates, fruits, ice cream, ais kacang and cendol, by caterer Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside.
As for the food served under 15 tents, there were South-East Asian favourites such as Tom Yam Seafood, Thai Glass Noodle Salad, Italian pasta and local delights such as prawn mee, lemang and rendang.
Two singers from Fly Band entertained the guests.
Band leader Yusri Mohd Azmi said they selected 30 Raya songs to perform over three hours. “We chose songs that will create a festive mood,” he added.
Putrajaya Holdings Legal and Corporate Services general manager Aminah Baba said the company allocated RM350,000 for this year’s gathering.
“We invited government agencies, bankers, corporate clients and joint venture partners for this annual event, to thank them for being with us and to strengthen our relationship with them,” she said.
Aminah said more than 2,000 guests were invited to the event.
The guests of honour were KLCC Holdings Sdn Bhd group chief executive officer Datuk Hashim Wahir and Putrajaya Holdings chairman Datuk Ishak Imam Abas.
