Irresistible data plans for app users

U Mobile users can now go crazy using their mobile apps without worrying about data depleting.

The telco’s latest plans called Giler Unlimited offer unlimited data for all apps on smartphone at RM50 for the postpaid GX50 plan and RM30 for the prepaid GX30 plan.

While GX50 plan offers unlimited data and 5GB of free hotspot quota as well as unlimited calls, the GX30 plan lets users enjoy unlimited data and 3GB of free hotspot quota.

Users are not restricted to when and how data is enjoyed, allowing them to stream music and videos, social messages and network, livestream and play mobile games anytime, any day.

The launch of Giler Unlimited was held at White Box in Publika, Kuala Lumpur where guests and the media had a whimsical affair to remember.

Party streamers and balloons in vibrant colours decorated the room while everyone came in colourful outfits.

Guests also had the chance to bring out their inner child as they rode on the quirky U Mobile Carousel that was used to launch the prepaid and postpaid plans.

“Giler Unlimited is truly the best offering in the market. You cannot get better than this,” she exclaimed amid cheers from the crowd.

Compared with three years ago and how much data cost then, Jasmine said that it was U Mobile that created the market of really affordable low-cost data.

“We want to continue to be that price and value leader in the telco market, and hope that others will follow. Ultimately, it is good for the consumers,” she said.

At the event, Jasmine also took the opportunity to announce that Frost & Sullivan had awarded U Mobile 2018’s Malaysia Mobile Data Service Provider of the Year.

The telco was also awarded Excellence Award in Customer Experience for overall, online and mobile experience for the Telecommunications Industry Malaysia.

The launch of Giler Unlimited is the start of a celebratory month for U Mobile as it hosts a string of events in July.

On July 14 and 15, it will be organising an Unlimited Flavours Festival at Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka, where people can enjoy a variety of food by well-known vendors.

There will be a pre-party with The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr for U Mobile customers on July 18 before the Good Vibes Festival in Genting Highlands on July 21 and 22.

The Giler Unlimited plans are available at all U Mobile stores nationwide.
