A FLURRY of activity has been set in motion in Penang MCA’s war room and command centre for the general election.

All the operatives need now is the date for the polls, said state party chief Datuk Tan Teik Cheng.

“We are in a war-ready mode,” he said.

“Once the date for the general election is announced, Penang MCA’s war machinery will be activated and go into full force.”

The war room in the state MCA headquarters in Transfer Road is already bustling with party volunteers filling up more than 5,000 goodie bags with Barisan Nasional promotional items which range from button badges to clappers and flags.

Tan, who praised the volunteers’ team spirit, said he had faith in the party’s ability to win seats this time round.

“We will fight hard to be the voice of Penangites.

“All our members are out to help Penang MCA capture seats this election,” he added.
