International Women’s Day in Penang marked with heartfelt expressions

THEY painted their faces, smiled and brandished stalks of flowers. It was a day to be proud if you’re a woman.

All over the state, women were honoured and recognised for their role in society in conjunction with International Women’s Day yesterday.
