SPORTs remain one of the most effective ways to bring Malaysians of all backgrounds together, says Kelab Rela Kehormat & Bersekutu WP president Datuk Seri KK Chai.
He said sporting activities created natural opportunities for interaction, understanding and stronger social bonds – values that reflected the club’s mission of uniting people from different fields, races and religions through volunteerism and community-based work.
Chai was speaking at the Pickleball Coaching Clinic & Friendly Match held at One Picca Pickleball Court, 1 Shamelin Mall in Kuala Lumpur.
Club adviser Datuk Seri Michael Chong was happy with the turnout of 150 participants, saying: “This is not merely a match, but a platform to build a healthy and vibrant community while strengthening teamwork and cooperation.
“The club will continue promoting meaningful cross-sector activities like this.”
The event blended skills training, sportsmanship and social networking.
The morning began with a coaching clinic where beginners learned ball control, serving and receiving techniques, followed by a friendly match.
Supporters added to the lively atmosphere with cheers and encouragement.
A lucky draw and token of appreciation ceremony rounded off the programme.
One Picca representative James Kuan said he hoped the event would spark more collaborations.
