THE Malaysian construction and infrastructure industry will once again take centre stage as the 12th edition of the Malaysia International Construction and Infrastructure Technology Exhibition (MBAM OneBuild 2026) returns from Aug 5 to 7 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.
This year, MBAM OneBuild will be held alongside OneWare, the fifth edition of the Malaysia International Hardware Technology Exhibition.
The event is expected to draw over 250 exhibitors across 400 exhibiting booths and attract approximately 10,000 trade visitors from 25 countries and regions.
The exhibition will present a powerful cross sector platform connecting the full ecosystem of construction, infrastructure, hardware, machinery, engineering technologies and smart urban development solutions.
Organised under the theme “Smart Cities Building Tomorrow,” the exhibition reflects the rapid transformation of South-East Asia’s built environment industry, where digitalisation, sustainability, industrialisation and smart infrastructure are reshaping the future of construction.
MBAM OneBuild 2026 will present six dedicated exhibition segments encompassing Construction, Infrastructure, Construction Machinery and Equipment, Smart City, Digitalisation and Sustainable Construction.
Accelerating digital transformation in construction
The highlights of the exhibition will be Digital Construction Day, a dedicated programme and exhibition zone organised in strategic partnership with CIDB Digital, the digital arm of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
The initiative will spotlight emerging digital solutions and smart construction practices, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled systems, digital project management, Industrialised Building System (IBS) technologies and sustainable construction approaches.
Through industry-focused knowledge sharing sessions and technology showcases, the programme aims to encourage collaboration between technology providers, contractors, consultants, developers and project stakeholders driving the industry’s digital evolution.
The exhibition will also bring together leading construction and infrastructure players, including Gamuda, which will showcase its latest capabilities in engineering, infrastructure development, sustainable solutions and technology-driven construction approaches.
Another key attraction will be BuildTalk, a three-day seminar series featuring industry experts discussing the latest advancements in digital construction, BIM, Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart technologies and sustainable infrastructure. The sessions will explore practical solutions to improve productivity, accelerate digital transformation, enhance construction quality and support the development of resilient, future-ready built environments.
The exhibition will also feature the Concrete Clinic, presented by the ACI Malaysia Chapter and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT). Through the "WOW – Waste, Opportunity, Wealth" initiative, trade visitors will discover how industrial by-products and construction waste can be transformed into sustainable concrete materials, showcasing innovative solutions that promote resource efficiency, circular economy practices, carbon reduction and the future of low-carbon construction.
In addition, the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) will host a dedicated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Conference, bringing together industry leaders to discuss sustainability strategies, governance frameworks, environmental responsibility and long-term resilience in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The exhibition will also feature the Machinery Decisions: Own or Rent – Prepare Before You Choose forum, providing contractors and equipment owners with practical guidance on evaluating machinery ownership versus rental. The session will explore key financial and operational considerations, helping businesses make informed investment decisions while avoiding common and costly pitfalls.
International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will also once again host its Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Safety Forum, bringing together industry experts to share practical insights on MEWP safety, regulatory compliance and best practices for working at height. The sessions will cover data centre safety, key safety principles for professionals and MEWP applications in Malaysia's construction industry.
Innovative building solutions and sustainable infrastructure
As part of OneWare’s focus on advanced construction hardware technologies, the exhibition will feature a dedicated technical seminar titled “Next Generation AI Data Centre and Sustainable Building Solutions”, highlighting the increasing demand for high-performance, energy-efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
The session will explore innovative building systems designed to support the rapid growth of hyperscale and artificial intelligence (AI) data centres, including green waterproofing and energy-efficient insulation systems, green car park flooring solutions, as well as access floor and anti-static epoxy flooring systems.
These solutions address the critical requirements of modern digital infrastructure, including enhanced thermal performance, durability, environmental sustainability, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and long-term operational efficiency.
As data centres become increasingly important to the digital economy, the integration of sustainable building solutions will play a crucial role in developing energy-efficient and future-ready infrastructure.
Beyond technology and conferences, MBAM OneBuild and OneWare 2026 will deliver two days of business networking opportunities through hosted networking sessions. Contractors, developers and procurement teams will be able to network with the exhibitors, explore alternative solutions for cost optimisation and identify technologies capable of improving operational efficiency and project performance.
MBAM OneBuild 2026 is organised by MBAM OneBuild Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Master Builders Association Malaysia and is endorsed by the Works Ministry, Housing and Local Government Ministry and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade).
