Cooking up a storm aboard a cruise ship this May is none other than celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, more popularly known as Chef Wan.

From May 22 to 25, Chef Wan returns for another sailing with Star Voyager, one of the ships by StarCruises – a brand under StarDream Cruises.

As the cruise is done in collaboration with the chef’s own restaurant group De.Wan 1958, Chef Wan will curate a special menu that guests can enjoy at the ship’s buffet restaurant, The Lido.

So, if you’re on this cruise, you’ll get a taste of the popular chef’s cooking as well as meet him during a special walkabout session at The Lido.

You can also catch him showing off his culinary skills during a live cooking demonstration.

The cruise departs from Selangor’s Port Klang to Phuket in Thailand, where it will dock until May 23. It will then return to Malaysia, stopping by Penang on May 24 before returning to Port Klang on May 25.

Then from May 25 to 27, two additional two-night Phuket cruises will depart from Port Klang. No Chef Wan on these, but you can still enjoy a fun short getaway.

Meanwhile, another StarDream Cruises brand, Dream Cruises, has several star-powered sailings prepared for 2026 as well, to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

If you’re cruising in June aboard the ship Dream Genting, you’ll get to catch the debut of Forever Broadway. Then, from July 26 to 28, you can meet Amotti from the Netflix show, Physical: 100.

Later, from Oct 25 to 27, you can watch performances by rising K-pop group Kiiras.

If acrobatics are more your style, make sure to catch the energetic performances held at the Zodiac Theatre.

You can plan other multi-destination holidays with StarDream Cruises, as it connects travellers to more than 50 destinations throughout South-East and East Asia.

The cruise line’s ports in Malaysia include Penang, Melaka, Redang Island (Terengganu), Tioman Island (Pahang) and Pangkor Island (Perak). So, you have no shortage of exciting places to visit even on a domestic trip.
