Whether it is a sunny day in the Mediterranean or an exotic spice market, certain scents can remind you of your travels around the globe.

Specific perfumery notes can indeed trigger our olfactory senses, which will then lead to us reminiscing about locations around the world.

Timeless sophistication

Penhaligon’s introduces its latest olfactory masterpiece, AlUla, a fragrance inspired by the enchanting allure of distant lands.

The perfume opens with a burst of fresh yet vibrant scent of madagascar plum topped with black pepper and turmeric root.

As the scent evolves, it offers a warm, spicy and slightly sweet aroma of cardamom oil, while exuding a rich and creamy aroma of vanilla bean, before finally settling into a warm, sensuous base of patchouli and tobacco.

Packaged in the brand’s signature bottle adorned with intricate detailing, the fragrance is a work of art to be cherished and admired, to be worn for special occasions or as an everyday indulgence.

Fresh notes of citrus

The Bvlgari Allegra Chill & Sole Eau de Parfum was born from the expertise of master creator Jacques Cavallier, a bold composition which combines the neroli with the fresh notes of citrus, orange blossom accord and petitgrain.

Citrusy notes of lemon evoke the sun tickling the skin, while the neroli essence expresses the brightness of the sea and the reflections chilling the air.

The luminous nuances of mandarine from Italy, jasmine sambac and orange blossom accord convey the harmonies of the surrounding nature: intensely refreshing and floral.

Final notes of white amber and musk accords reveal a warmth that envelops the body, all encased in an azure-blue flacon reminiscent of aquamarine and pink tourmaline cabochons.

Family of fragrances

Fendi introduces a collection of seven exclusive fragrances which retrace the maison’s story, meant to immerse wearers in the brand’s unique family culture.

Of the seven fragrances which each pay tribute to seven personalities of leading figures within the brand, one creation by perfumer Quentin Bisch is dedicated to Fendi’s artistic director Kim Jones.

Prima Terra was inspired by Southern and Eastern Africa where Jones spent much of his childhood.

Tangerine from Calabria and Sicily, rosemary from Tunisia and Morocco tell of the freshness of a cologne inspired by uninhibited, strong nature.

Oak moss brings warmth and consistency, woody, leathery and imbued with a soil that exudes power and generosity after a storm.

Paint your scent

Jo By Jo Loves recently debuted an innovate creation, the A Fragrance Paintbrush Gel Duo, a fresh and full-bodied fragrance that encapsulates sparkling notes of grapefruit, bitter orange, lime and spearmint.

These sit on a bed of powerful guaiac wood, cedarwood and vetiver with a lingering ribbon of hedione and black pepper.

The idea behind the set is that the user can apply the fragrance using the paintbrush, which allows for a more precise and customisable application.

Earthy and elegant

Louis Vuitton unveils the LVERS fragrance in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, a fragrance created with notes from nature that emanate the science of photosynthesis, distilled into the maison’s signature glass bottle electrified by a prismatic finish.

With galbanum embodying the nectar of freshly grown grass, the earthy yet elegant sandalwood and hints of sensual cedarwood harmonises with juicy and zesty bergamot, further energised by crisp ginger notes to illustrate the early rays of sunrise.

Echoing the therapeutic force of the sun, each ingredient is rooted in age-old cultural practices connected to notions of healing.
