Elevate your style with all the latest jewellery trends that were seen on the Autumn/Winter 2023 runways, on your favourite celebrities and in local boutiques.

Whether you’re a fashion connoisseur or simply looking to refresh your collection, have a look at this season’s essential pieces.

Return of the rosette

There’s something so elegant and timeless about the rosette, a trend which is seeing a resurgence, with a few updates.

Rosette choker necklaces like those seen on the Elie Saab Autumn/Winter 2023 runway are being seen all over this year’s red carpets.

Other brands are replacing roses with more minimalist florals such as orchids, and rosettes are also appearing as drop and stud earrings.

Chunky chains and chokers

This season's runways saw many attention-grabbing chokers paired with equally opulent outfits, but for us regular folks on regular days we can take it down a notch.

From whimsical voluminous designs and layered charms to chunky metal and textured fabrics, the sky’s the limit when it comes to rocking your personal style.

For inspiration, check out the chokers and chains worn on the runways of Versace, Paul Costelloe, Jil Sander, Dion Lee and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Full metal jewellery

Metallic accessories are blowing up in a big way, with many brands showcasing rings, earrings, necklaces and bangles in both one type of metal as well as mixed metals.

To achieve the mesmerising multi-dimensional effects akin to earrings shown on the Gucci and Missoni runways, find creative ways to blend metals, and don’t be afraid of them “clashing”.

Throw out all the rules you’ve ever read about mixing metals and experiment with different types.

Particularly if you’ve always had a thing for a certain metal, it’s time to change it up and mix it up.

Layered necklaces

Why limit it to just one necklace when you can adorn yourself with all your favourites together?

Designers from around the world took inspiration from this concept, artfully combining various necklace styles to craft one-of-a-kind jewellery combos.

When trying out this trend at home, don’t shy away from mixing different lengths and select a plunging V-neck or turtleneck to complement your jewellery.

(Mis)matchy-matchy

Asymmetry was a big trend when it came to jewellery at this year’s Autumn/Winter 2023 runways, especially when it came to earrings.

Studs were paired with dangling earrings, and while some were more noticeably mismatched than others, they all made an impact.

Others cleverly united similar silhouettes, creating playful contrasts and eye-catching combinations.

Pearls with panache

Instead of opting for single strands or delicate loops, try out some striking statement pieces featuring oversized pearl jewellery.

Ranging from extra large hoops to ribbon-adorned earrings and punk-inspired necklaces, making a bold yet graceful statement in the world of fashion.

Stacked bangles

The art of wearing multiple bracelets and bangles is making a comeback.

Try experimenting with a wide range of materials, including delicate gold bangles, leather cuffs, dainty chain bracelets or even heirloom pieces.

These can be harmoniously stacked to create a personalised narrative on the wrist.
