Facing mounting questions over a chaotic evacuation, top Los Angeles County officials in California, the United States say they want to build a database of residents with disabilities who require help fleeing a neighbourhood engulfed in flames.

LA County fire chief Anthony Marrone told county supervisors at a recent public meeting that the ongoing wildfires underscored the need for a “database to track people who have mobility challenges or health challenges”.
